Roomware

What is Roomware?

"Roomware" is an installation that uses both software and hardware to create an interactive experience in a physical space. For instance: linking people's photographs to the screens of a club, sharing musical tastes with the DJ, finding other interesting people on your mobile phone, a photo booth activated by the entry tickets of two people, and more.

Getting started

The Roomware Framework - An open-source framework for interactive spaces. It allows developers of multiple origins to enhance any venue or event using technologies such as Bluetooth and RFID.

Arduino - Pluggable and programmable hardware for creating working prototypes of advanced hardware. Use these to built anything from an wifi connected RFID reader to a synthesizer with pressure sensitive mats for controls.

openFrameworks - An open source C++ toolkit, very handy for creative coding.

Processing - An open source programming language and environment for people who want to program images, animation, and interactions. It is used by students, artists, designers, researchers, and hobbyists for learning, prototyping, and production.
